Glytime is actively engaged in multiple value chains, contributing to food security, resilience, and equitable wealth distribution, with a focus on empowering women and youth.

Our business generates a substantial market for honey farmers, purchasing approximately 100 tons of honey annually from 8 districts. This not only provides a sustainable income stream for farmers but also incentivizes them to conserve trees and reduce veld fires, as the trees are essential for bee farming. Furthermore, our heritage-based formulations showcase the value of non-timber forest products like baobab, tamarind, and moringa, enhancing the therapeutic and nutritional properties of our food products while promoting the preservation of biodiversity

In line with our commitment to environmental stewardship and compliance, our business has launched several initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices, contributing to the global effort to combat climate change and protect the environment for future generations:

We’ve made a significant investment in cutting-edge, non-carbon generating hybrid machines for production and packaging, sourced from European suppliers, which utilize 100% recyclable materials. Although this eco-friendly solution came at a 40% higher cost compared to conventional lines, we remain committed to our climate-smart production systems, prioritizing sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint.

We’ve gone solar for our admin operations and are now planning to expand to a hybrid system, powering both production and packaging with renewable energy.

We’ve taken a significant step towards reducing our environmental impact by replacing plastic bottles with water dispensers, eliminating single-use plastics from our operations. Additionally, we’re proud to be involved in tree restoration programs in local schools, promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship in our community.

Glytime has developed a business model that is people oriented, impact driven that is measurable, sustainable and scalable.

As a social oriented enterprise the business and its leadership has been involved in many activities to empowers and impact lives :
